About KTC

Who are we?

KTC started life as a small group of like minded individuals getting together to train in 2009. We became a Triathlon Ireland affiliated club in 2011 and haven’t looked back since! Our little club has gone from strength to strength, with many of our members making their mark at local, national and international levels.

Our aim is to provide our members with a friendly, encouraging environment in which to train and achieve personal goals. Whether your aim is to complete your very first try-a-tri or to improve on your Iron distance personal best, we’ve got something to suit you.

There are various membership options available – you can sign up for a full or training membership in order to benefit from the expertise of our run, swim and bike leaders and meet up with people of a similar level to train with. We organise lots of seasonal “in house” challenges & social events throughout the year such as 5k run league, mental mile, 12 hills, night swims, social cycles, barbecues, training weekends away & much more!

In recent times we have launched a number of virtual cycling, running and strength & conditioning challenges and organised talks and Q&A sessions on nutrition, mental health & wellbeing.

All training sessions are open to all members, if you don’t wish to partake in a particular discipline, maybe you would like to kayak for the swimmers, do some timekeeping for the runners or mind the bikes for the BRIC session. Either way, you are guaranteed to spend time in good company!

We are involved in running a number of races throughout the year, such as the Battle of Ballinspittle Duathlon, The Kinsale Kidathlon, The Regatta 5 mile, Kinsale 10 mile and the Santa Dash
